QUOTE (Kuroi @ Jan 25 2012, 01:11 PM) *
Why haven't I seen this thread any sooner...?
Stumbled upon an image of the second volume and then read about it here and... omg, I love this kind of re-release when the mangas are Jump size. So it really was an instant buy when I ordered both books from yesasia... xD" I can't wait to hold them in my hands. This will be more comfortable to read than the small sized book. And I forgot too much about the story so this is a very good chance to re-read everything! Yay!

Oh, but I wonder... why are the volumes named with the kanji for "up/above" and "down/under"? xD Guess using normal volume numbers was too boring...?

I don't think it's too common a practice anymore, but those kanji (上 and 下) are occasionally used to denote the first and final installements in a two-part series... has there been any news of a third volume? If not, then this is the most likely case (sorry, haven't really kept up with this thread).

As I got those two manga volumes from Kinokuniya, volumes 1 and 2 are more likely to be the 3rd editions of the original Byakuren No Fangu manga. And there is no volume 3 coming out becuse the story ended at volume 2.

Just to clarify this is an actual manga but in the same size as a jump magazine? or is it a magazine that includes this story? Im interested in ordering this but I don't want a magazine.

They are thick manga books
Vol 1 have 370 pages (included advertising pages) and vol 2 have 385 pages
12 chapters
Both edition have special interview with Yoshihiro Takahashi in the manga's (no pictures of Yoshi)

I like the way you see Unryu eye , face coming up in the background

Have got a book home now and remember that I havnīt looked so much in the other editions ^^; And donīt have any at home, so I can check it out.

Edit:
Oooooh if I see right a second part will come out January 20th ^^

Other way this contains a special interview with Takahashi
And I donīt remember the dog sledge scene in the manga?

PLEASE do not use this pics without asking!

I wonder what breed those sled dogs are. I love the designs. Maybe karafuto ken?
