Even though everyone calls him Joe, I still call him Joo. xD I don't know why, I like the name Joe, but I get tired of the dogs having English names.
God Koushiro, Koujiro, KYOushiro, so confusing.

I got my Ginga Densetsu Weed vol. 59 today, and, as always, I was so curious of the events that I "picture-read" it right after I got it in my hands, so here is the plot summary of this volume.

Chapter 1

Weed (who had fallen down from the high cliff where the dogs were fighting against Hybrid) runs and jumps up the cliff to the battlefield. At the cliff, Joe uses again Neck The Killing, but while he spins around Hybrid's neck, the bear slams its back to the ground, and Joe is crushed heavily. He gets up, but is unable to move and is about to get hit by the bear, but just then Weed appears from the edge of the cliff, and saves Joe, barely. Weed and Hybrid stare at each other. Nearby, Joe's owner is trying to get his gun to work by hitting it with a rock (it seems that he is NOT out of ammos, as I presumed in my summary of the GDW volume 58, but the gun is just somehow stuck, and won't work). Bomb appears to his side, and then they both see Sasuke, who is carrying GB to the battlefield. Bomb talks to them, and GB says something. Back at the cliff, Rocket is carrying Joe away from the battle, but Joe refuses to go, and runs back. Weed stares at Hybrid, and then he charges towards the bear.

Chapter 2

Weed attacks. Rocket tries to stop him, but misses to catch Weed's tail. Weed uses Battouga, and hits right at Hybrid's neck. The bear slides towards the cliff, but manages to stay in balance. Weed bites at Hybrid's neck, and the bear tries to shake him off. Joe and others attack as well, but Hybrid stays in balance. Then, Sasuke and GB arrive at the battlefield. GB gets on his feet, and when Sasuke tries to talk to him, he slams Sasuke with his head, starts to cry, and charges towards the bear. Hybrid manages to get some of the dogs off its back, and starts to chase them. Weed also falls off. GB is still running towards the bear.

Chapter 3

Weed is somehow unable to move, and Hybrid takes him its target. Weed manages to roll off from Hybrid's claws, but the bear doesn't give up its prey. Joe, still on Hybrid's back, spins and bites off a small piece of Hybrid, but the bear doesn't care. Hybrid rises its paw to smash Weed. Then the dogs notice GB, who runs towards the bear. Hybrid also notices GB, and turns towards him. GB runs foward with an flaming aura around him. Hybrid strikes, and hits GB with its right paw. GB is hit with one claw, but he managed to get one of Hybrids fingers in his mouth. Hybrid starts to shake its paw, to get rid of GB. The claw that hit GB pulls off, and GB starts to spin with Hybrids finger in his mouth. The finger falls off with GB. Hybrid goes crazy with pain, and accidentally falls off the cliff.

Chapter 4

Hybrid falls, but Hiro sees that the bear manages to get a grip on the rock at the last moment before the river under it. At the cliff, everyone runs toward GB, who lies on the ground. They praise him for his courage. GB just weakly calls for Weed. The dogs realize that GB is in very critical shape. GB cries and calls for Weed. Weed lowers to GB, and they talk with tears on their eyes. As GB weakens, everyone else start to cry, and Kyoshiro shakes GB. Memories swing on GBs head; his owner's suicide, meeting Weed and his mother, the fight against the guard-dog. GB asks Weed to hug him, and Weed does. With tears in their eyes, they talk for the last time, and then GB falls back, his legs pointing in the air. Crying Weed yells to the GB, but its all in vain. GB is dead. The dogs howl for him. After a while, the dogs hear Hiro's call, that Hybrid is climbing up the cliff.

Chapter 5

Hybrid climbs up. Weed goes foward, and the dogs talk for a while. Then, Jerome dives down the cliff, and Joe joins him. They strike at Hybrid's head, and bite. Hybrid tries to shake them off, and then Weed dives, ordering Jerome and Joe to jump away. Weed starts the Battouga. Jerome jumps off, but Joe remains. He moves himself to Hybrids face, blocking the bear's view. Weed continues his Battouga.

Chapter 6

Hybrid tries to shake Joe off of its face, but no effect. Joe steadily waits that Weed gets nearer, and then, at the last moment, he jumps off. The Battouga hits right at Hybrid's head. Weed spins away, and Hybrid's head sprouts blood. As Hybrid and Weed fall down, Jerome jumps and takes Weeds paw in his mouth. The three of them fall, as the others watch, unable to do anything. Jerome tries to get a grip on the rocks, but fails. All three fall on the river, and the other dogs don't see any of them. Shocked, the dogs just stare down the river. Kyoshiro yells for Weed.

Chapter 7

At the river, underwater, Jerome still bites on Weeds leg. Weed seems to be unconscious. Both of them are swept by the stream. Next pages show us the huge dam that the river leads. Back at the cliff, Kyoshiro tries to dive down, but Kagetora stops him. Suddenly, Sasuke dives. All the others follow him down. But Hiro and Joe stop them. Joe speaks for a while, and his eyes turn red. Joe cries blood.

Chapter 8

Seems that Joes words have convienced everyone from diving down to the river. Joe is still crying blood. Then, everyone start to climb up. Joe's owner is waiting at the top. Sasuke goes to GB's corpse, and cries. Then, Joe and the others, ecept Hiro, Bomb, Sasuke and Joe's owner head for the dam, to see if they could find Jerome or Weed. Joe's owner calls for Joe, but Joe runs off. Joe's owner leaves with Bomb. Sasuke and Hiro remain beside GB's corpse. At the dam, the dogs find nothing. A helicopter flies above them. Then we go to underwater, and see Hybrid, stuck in the dam's suction.

The volume ends here.

So, Weed can do a real ZTBattouga? (can't say for real until I have the manga itself) And he really yelled to Joe and Jerome to let go? Seems like he woke up, a little. ^^


And Hybrid was killed by Weed before he landed in the water? Now I can understand why Weed and Jerome can make it. ^^

Ah, poor GB! He was the first face you saw in the first volume!! Defenetly one of the saddest death I've seen in any movie.

wow those scans are gut wrenching! Poor GB. He gets a claw rammed into his spine and hes gone but Weed gets shot with a rifle (as a puppy) about 30 times and hes good.

And yeah, he's supposed to be bishonen (like a girly-looking guy) but it fails epic-ly because he's a DOG.

Thanks for the scans, they're really sad. The part where he's still hugging Weed after he dies and Weed is trying to get out of his grip is so sad.
