The summary makes me think A LOT about when Weed & co. threw Kaibutse down in the river, and now the tables just turned when Jerome saves Weed.

Another ginga-legend related story? ... *Sighs*
The name of the main char. is a bit more originale but I'm tired of the greatgrandson or grandson or son looks exactly like a legend from the ginga-family.
Would have been nicest with the black-white pup because then you would feel as it would be an entirely new thing. I do like Orion being a little hungry for fights, makes him seem less heroic, and gives him a nice bad feature.

Hope it won't end up running as long as the GDW manga :S I could accept a maximum of 10 vols.

wow those scans are gut wrenching! Poor GB. He gets a claw rammed into his spine and hes gone but Weed gets shot with a rifle (as a puppy) about 30 times and hes good.

Is GDW finishing up? Wow, it only took like 60 volumes
And there is Weed's son Orion was it? Loving the name.
Hope there is something about him that stands out. Maybe he'll be the bad guy of the story!

Oh, poor old GB >:
That made me really quite upset when I heard he died, but I'm glad I've seen the scans.

And moving onto Orion, I'm quite exited for it but at the same time dreading another cookie cutter "oh teh noes, a big evil things invading Ohu!!1!" plot line where the super puppy takes on a dangerous enemy and magically wins.
I personally hope, though I can't see it happening, that his story takes place when he's older and it's more reasonable that he'd be winning fights. The wonder pups are doing my head in a little...
Seen as his mostly Kishu (from what I can work out), is anyone else crossing their fingers that he'll be trained as an Iga ninja xD? Unlikely but it would be so cool

Oh my, I never thought of it, YES! I would LOVE to see him being trained as a Iga Ninja. It would be unbelievably cool.

I looked at those scans of GB's death over my vacation, it gave me a very melancholy feeling, like I had lost a friend. Most artist's cannot pull off other animals actually hugging each other, but he pulled it off!

Well, let's see! Orion looks like a Riki clone, I see a Weedy clone, a lighter blue puppy and the black n' white one is in the back...expected.

A bit dissapointing there doesn't seem be much of a time skip at all just judging from the illustration. But very exciting still =)

I don't mind the time skip in that image, at least we see what those darlings look like. :]
It seems interested. Only thing that upsets me is that Weed only looks alittle bit older; other than that, he still looks the same. :/

Heh...Orion may look like puppy Riki on that cover as well as Weedy's little clone but at least it's great to see the black and white puppy. That white pup might be Kotetsu who looks quite funny like Kyoushiro in some GDW manga covers!

Or it could be some sort of weird looking brindle-Kishu/Akita? They have two brindle pups, right? It looks a bit small to be Kotetsu, but you very well maybe right.

Larger image. Looks like the one pup is a lighter brindle. Says this edition has 49 pages of 'Orion'.



Edit: Just now, looking at something on 2ch, apparently it begins with an earthquake, and that the names of the other pups are:
Sirius (Weed lookalike)
Rigel (Black and white)
and Bellatrix (Vera) (THE SOLE FEMALE, and the light brindle one that's faceplanting).
